Sculpting Class 1

In our first lesson we created the base of the body and neck by using several pipes and wiring for the initial structure, which was supported onto a block of MDF wood. Soon after this and securing the pipe and wire to the wood, we then began to pack in the pipe into the flange and copper pipe with several layers of tin foil. Once this was secure and wouldn't move or wobble we then began to sculpt base of the neck and head in tin foil so that less clay would have to be used. Finally we covered the foil sculpture with a few layers of clay so that we can continue sculpting and adding the eyes (made from milliput) can be inserted the next lesson.
